More About the Mensa Free IQ Test

The free IQ challenge is not an official IQ test. It’s simply a practice, providing a fun and engaging way to assess reasoning and problem-solving skills.

For each correct answer, you’ll earn one point, and there are no penalties for incorrect answers, so it's a good idea to guess if you're unsure. It's also important to manage your time effectively, as there are no bonus points for finishing early.

This test is designed to be pretty tough, so don't be discouraged by the difficulty level when you move through the test. After completing the test, you will receive your IQ score, which typically ranges from 85 to 145, with 100 being the average. However, this result can’t be used to qualify for Mensa.

How to Qualify for Mensa?

To qualify for Mensa membership, you need to score within the top two percent (or at or above the 98th percentile) on an approved intelligence test, administered and supervised under proper conditions.

There are two main ways to demonstrate this: either by taking a test administered directly by Mensa or by submitting a qualifying score from another approved test. For the Mensa IQ test specifically, a person would need to score 131 and above to qualify for Mensa membership (the average is a score of 100).

To take the administered and supervised Mensa IQ test, you should reach out to the nearest Mensa office. They can provide you with information and details regarding taking the official Mensa test. Currently, active Mensa organizations are available on every continent world wide, except Antarctica.
